2020 Hero Xtreme 160R launched at Rs. 99,950
Hero MotoCorp has announced the prices of the Xtreme160R, starting from Rs 99,950 for the front disc variant. There is also a front-rear disc variant which is available at Rs 1.03 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Inspired by the 1.R concept showcased at the International automotive show EICMA in 2019, Hero had revealed the motorcycle for its Indian audiences at the Hero World 2020 event, which was hosted at the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur.ÃÂ The 2020 Xtreme 160R locks horns against popular motorcycles like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and the Suzuki Gixxer.
The 160cc air-cooled BSVI compliant engine with fuel injection produces 15PS at 8,500rpm and generatesÃÂ 14Nm at 6,500rpm. These numbers combined with a low kerb weight of 138.5kg that offers best power-to-weight ratio in its class, helps the Xtreme 160R deliver a class-leading 0 to 60kmph acceleration of 4.7 seconds, claims the company. Doing suspension duty are theÃÂ 37mm telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock. Hero mentions that the 130/70-17-inch radial rear tyre provides superior grip in all riding conditions. The dual disc (front and rear) makes use of a 276mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brakes. Further, it gets a ground clearance of 170mm.
The new Xtreme 160R is paired with a first-in-segment LED package, with full LED headlamp, rear H-signature LED tail lamp and LED turn indicators with hazard light switch. Hero is offering the motorcycle in three colour options -ÃÂ Pearl Silver White, Vibrant Blue, Sports Red.
"The Hero Xtreme 160R is a real Head-turner, cat like agility with power to weight ratio of a street racer, and tech-loaded with segment first features like the all LED package. This modern street fighter is targeting to win the urban race. With this latest model, we are now offering a compelling and competitive line-up of premium motorcycles, from Street Naked to Sport with the Xtreme 200S, from Adventure with XPulse 200 to casual Touring with the XPulse 200T."ÃÂ Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp.
