2020 Kia Seltos SUV prices hiked by up to Rs. 35,000
Kia Motors came in the Indian market with the launch of Seltos, in August 2019. The SUV was launched with an introductory price of Rs 9.69 lakh which was valid for a limited period till 31st December 2019. Kia Motors has revised pricing of the car, with an increase of Rs 20,000 to 35,000 across variants.
Currently, the car comes in petrol and diesel engine options ranging from Rs 9.69-16.34 lakh, ex-showroom. Power in the Seltos comes from the 1.4-litre GDI turbo-petrol producing 138PS and 242 Nm of peak torque. There is also a 1.5-litre petrol producing 113Ps and 114Nm along with a 1.5 ltr diesel producing 113Ps and 114Nm of torque respectively. Kia is now in the list of top 10 Indian automakers and around 45,294 units of Seltos has been dispatched in 2019.
The Seltos competes with the likes of MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur. There is a luxury MPV, the Carnival, coming from the brand in February 2020 along with a sub-compact SUV in the second half of 2020.
Recently the company inaugurated its 536-acre manufacturing plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh in the presence of honourable chief minister Shri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
