Harley-Davidson India hikes prices of some of its motorcycles
Harley-Davidson India has announced a price increase of up to 1.5 Per cent on some of its products in India. The price increase is applicable on the Street 750, which is the best-selling motorcycle from the American marque in India and also on models from the Sportster and Touring ranges in India. The price hike does not apply on the Street Bob, Fat Bob, Fat Boy, Heritage Softail Classic and the recently launched Harley-Davidson Street Rod.
The price hike will be effective from April 01, 2017 and the revised prices have been announced.
We had earlier pitted the Harley-Davidson Roadster against the Triumph Bonneville T100 and the Roadster impressed with its good looks and its ability to actually corner.
Harley-Davidson has been treating the Indian market quite right by updating its motorcycles and launching the latest ones here. The Street Rod for example, uses the new Revolution X 750 V-twin engine, which according to the company generates 11 per cent more power and 5 per cent more torque than the standard engine on the street 750. The Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and Road King are powered by the latest Milwaukee-eight 107 engine and the CVO Limited is powered by the Milwaukee-eight 114 engine. It was only last year that the company launched the CVO Limited, Road Glide Special and Roadster in India.
