Honda Jazz vs Hyundai Elite i20: Trims and variants compared
With the Honda Jazz being launched at a price that goes neck to neck with Hyundai's Elite i20, we at Team OVERDRIVE have distinguished the features offered by both cars in each trim -
The Honda Jazz and the Hyundai Elite i20 come with petrol and diesel variants. Both the petrol variants run a 1.2-litre engine but the Jazz produces a peak power of 90PS and a peak torque of 110Nm while the i20 churns out 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque. Both get 5-speed manual gear boxes, but the i20 loses out on the CVT option that the S and V trims of the Jazz offer. The Jazz diesel runs a 1.5-litre motor that displaces 100PS of power with a peak torque of 200Nm and the Elite i20 uses a 1.4-litre engine producing 90PS of power and 220Nm of torque. The Elite i20 diesel and the Jazz diesel get a 6-speed manual transmission. Now that we know which car runs what, let's get to the various trims that the manufacturers offer.

Jazz V vs Elite i20 Sportz (O)The i20 misses out on some features in this trim when compared to the Jazz - a rear wiper, a leather wrapped steering-wheel and a first-in-segment paddle shift for the CVT variant. Both get alloy wheels from this trim on but only the i20 will be offered with a smart key and push-button ignition.
