Hyundai Tucson and Elantra get new warranty and maintenance plan
Hyundai India has introduced a new warranty and maintenance plan for the Hyundai Tucson SUV and Hyundai Elantra sedan. Termed the Premium Assurance Program, buyers of these vehicles will be offered exclusive services not available on Hyundai's more mainstream offerings.
The unique, customisable standard warranty options are now available on these vehicles. Buyers can choose between a three year/unlimited km, four year/60,000 km or five year/50,000 km package depending on how they use their vehicles. There is a three year/30,000 km maintenance package too, that covers consumables and labour. Also available through this program is three years of roadside assistance, three-years of map updates for the navigation system and a three-year subscription to the Blue Link suite of connected-car features. Further included is one home visit by a Premium Care Manager who will answer all queries and features of the owner within 15 days of delivery. All of these facilities, including booking the car can be accessed online via Hyundai's dedicated portal.
There are two engine options on offer with the recently facelifted Tucson. The first is a 2.0-litre petrol motor with 150PS and 196 Nm. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel motor with 185PS and 408Nm is also be available with an eight-speed automatic expected to pair with the diesel. The older six-speed unit carries on with the petrol. An AWD option is also available.
The Tucson is available in three trim levels, with AWD reserved for the top-spec diesel. Hyundai Tucson prices start from Rs 22.30 lakh.
The Hyundai Elantra is also available in both petrol and diesel options. The diesel motor is a 1.5-litre unit with 115PS and and 250 Nm. The petrol engine is the same 2.0-litre unit as the Tucson. Both engines can be had with either a six-speed manual or automatic. The petrol comes with an additional higher-spec variant as well. Prices start from Rs 17.6 lakh for the base petrol.
