Mercedes-AMG's efforts of bringing F1 technology to easily accessible road cars has finally borne fruition at the International Motor Show in Germany. The Mercedes-AMG Project One debuted at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. A turbo petrol engine and four electric motors power the Mercedes-AMG Project One. While two 120kW electric motors drive the front wheel, one is installed in the turbocharger while the fourth one is on the combustion engine. Together, the combined output is said to be over 1,000PS. The petrol engine is borrowed from the AMG Petronas F1 car and is a 1.6-litre unit. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by an 8-speed automatic and Mercedes has also added a new all-wheel drive system. This AWD system basically enables the Mercedes-AMG Project One to accelerate to 200kmph from standstill in under 6s. The top speed is well over 350kmph. While details aren't out on when this beauty will grace the road, you can see it in its full glory in the comprehensive image gallery below.
