2019 Suzuki RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 launched in India at Rs 8.31 lakh and Rs 7.10 lakh respectively

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has launched its global flagship motocross bikes - the RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 in India priced at Rs 8.31 lakh and Rs 7.10 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively. The two motorcycles are designed specifically for off-roading and are not road-legal. OVERDRIVE had earlier reported that bookings for the 2019 Suzuki RM-Z450 and 2018 Suzuki RM-Z250 had begun nearly a month ago.

2019 Suzuki RM-Z450

Commenting on the launch of RMZ series, Satoshi Uchida, MD of Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, "Over the past few years, we have witnessed a great spur in the off-roading and adventurous riding experiences among Indian riders. Paying attention to this rising demand in the racing and adventure category, we are thrilled to launch these purpose-built motorcycles, RM-Z450 and RM-250. The bikes boast of great performance, distinctive design, and agility that is unique to RMZ series, offering great handling and control to riders."

The 2019 RM-Z450 is powered by a 449cc, 4-stroke, fuel injected, DOHC engine. It comes equipped with Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) which has three selectable modes to choose the best option as per terrain condition.The RM-Z450 is the first motocross bike to adopt new balance-free rear cushion (BFRC) technology ensuring traction and better shock absorption along with high responsiveness on the track, states Suzuki.

2018 Suzuki RM-Z250

The 2018 RM-Z250 is powered by a 250cc fuel injected DOHC engine with a compact and lightweight design. The bike comes equipped with aluminium rims made specifically to withstand rugged racing environments, including supercross, motocross and off-roading. It is a perfect amalgamation of lightweight, compact, powerful motorcycle that does not leave room for any complaints, Suzuki mentions.

The 2019 RM-Z450 is fully designed with a laser focus on achieving the winning balance, with a fresh new look that enhances Suzuki's distinctive design theme Beak DNA, aiding the off-road bikes with speed and sharpness. The slim styling enables the rider to easily shift his/her weight and manoeuvre effortlessly. The RM-Z250 harps on innovative technology and engineering updates. Suzuki is offering both motorcycles in its signature Champion Yellow colour.
