Gemopai Astrid Lite electric scooter could be yours for Rs 79,999

Gemopai Astrid Lite, another electric scooter has been launched in the India market for Rs 79,999 ex-showroom. The bookings for the same have already commenced. The scooter can be booked at Gemopai's dealership - the company has over 50 dealerships across India and Nepal. The deliveries are expected to commence in the month of October. Astrid Lite is available with a choice of five colours.

The Astrid Lite gets a range of 75-90km per charge, depending on the riding mode. Speaking of the riding mode, the Astrid Lite comes in three modes - Eco, City and Sport. The scooter can attain a top speed of 65kmph thanks to an 8.5kg removable lithium-ion battery of 1.7KW of power. The range of the scooter can be increased up to 150-180km with an extra battery. The scooter is capable of ascending an 18-degree incline.

The features include an LED colour display, LED headlamp and LED DRLs. For safety, the scooter gets a side- stand/kickstand sensor, an anti-theft sensor and an electronic assist brake system.

In the Indian market, the Astrid Lite rivals the likes of the Okinawa Praise Pro that was recently introduced for the cost of Rs 71,990, ex-showroom.

Gemopai is a joint venture between Goreen E-Mobility and Opai Electric, and has been manufacturing electric scooters since the past 15 years.
