Top-spec Kia Sonet GTX+ diesel-auto and turbo petrol-DCT prices revealed

Kia Motors India has revealed prices of the two top-spec versions of the Kia Sonet in its GT Line form. The carmekr had skipped the prices of the Kia Sonet GTX+ diesel-automatic and turbo-petrol DCT during the sub-four-metre SUV's launch last week. The prices for these vaiants have now been revealed to be Rs 12.89 lakh.

Consequently, these versions charge a Rs 90,000 premium over the turbo-petrol iMT and diesel-manual versions of the Kia Sonet GT Line. Prices for the rest of the Kia Sonet range start from Rs 6.71 lakh and go up to Rs 11.99 lakh.

The Kappa T-GDI 1.0-litre turbo is a three-cylinder motor that makes 120PS and 172Nm, and pairs with a seven-speed DCT. With the diesel Kia Sonet GTX+, the 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel makes 115PS and 250 Nm and pairs with a six-speed torque convertor. This is a 15PS and 10 Nm increase over the diesel manual.

Notable features seen of the GT Line variants of the Kia Sonet are the red highlights on the grille, wheels and brake callipers. These versions also get unique bumpers and an all balck interior with red contrasting, gloss balck inserts and aluminium pedals. Conviniences unique to the GTX+ versions are the sport seats, drive and traction modes, and wireles charging. These are also by far the safest variant of the Sonet, with front parking sensors, side and curtain airbags, brake assist and ESP.
