MG Hector SUV: Variant wise pricing explained
MG Motor India has launched the Hector SUV in India, which is the first-ever from the British carmaker in India. The British automobile brand will be offering the SUV in both petrol and diesel with a choice of transmission between petrol and diesel. To be precise, the MG Hector is being offered with a choice between three engines that consists of one diesel and two petrol units. One of the petrol engines is a 143PS making 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol that generates 250Nm of torque. The other petrol engine comes mated to a  48V mild hybrid system. The diesel powertrain is the 2.0-litre sourced from FCA which also powers Hector's rivals the Jeep Compass and the Tata Harrier. MG Hector Style variant: Rs 12.18 lakh (P) / Rs 13.18 lakh (D)
The base variant of the MG Hector is called the Style. It comes with dual front airbags, ESP, TCS, Hill Hold Control, all-wheel disc brakes, Rear Parking Sensors, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors, halogen projector headlights, steel wheels, roof rails, ORVM embedded indicators, 3.5 Inch Multi Information Display, fabric seats, manual AC, tilt adjustable steering wheel, rear AC vents, height adjustable driver seats, power windows, remote keyless entry, rear wiper and washer, USB, FM Bluetooth music and calling and more. The MG Hector Style variant will be offered in both petrol and diesel models with manual transmission.
MG Hector Super variant: Rs 12.98 lakh (P), 13.58 (P Hybrid) / Rs 14.18 lakh (D)
Positioned above the Style variant, the MG Hector Super trim consists of reverse parking camera, cornering front fog lamps, front parking sensors, LED lights, shark fin antenna, cruise control, AC Controls on the headunit, rear parcel curtain, follow me home headlamps, 10.4-inch HD Touchscreen AVN system, CarPlay/Android Auto, four speakers with two tweeters, steering mounted audio controls. The hybrid model comes with engine idle start stop system, regenerative braking and e-Boost. As mentioned, the Style trim is offered on the petrol, hybrid and the diesel models.
MG Hector Smart variant: Rs 14.68 lakh (P Hybrid), 15.28 lakh (P DCT) / 15.48 lakh (D)
The MG Hector Smart variant is equipped with 4 airbags, e-brake for the DCT, tyre pressure monitoring system, dual-tone machined alloys, remote car lock/unlock, remote car light flashing, more than 100 voice commands and adaptive learning, online navigation with live traffic, iSmart features such as Gaana app, Accuweather, find my car, Geo fence, over speed alert, E-Call (Safety), leather seats, 6-way power adjustable driver seat, push button engine Start/Stop with smart entry, power foldable ORVM, Infinity sound, four speakers with four tweeters, subwoofer and amplifier.
MG Hector Smart variant: Rs 15.88 lakh (P Hybrid), 16.78 lakh (P DCT) / 16.88 lakh (D)
The top-spec variant of the MG Hector is offered with six airbags, 360-degree camera, heated ORVM, Remote Sunroof Open/Close, 7 Inch Coloured Digital Multi Info Display, 8 Colours Ambient Lighting, Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof, 4 Way Power Adjustable Co-Driver seat, Auto Headlamps and Rain Sensing Wipers. In terms of powertrain options, it is identical to that of the Smart trim.
